New York Photos #2

More photos from our mid November trip.

The view from the entrance to the condo we rented.

Looking across the East River from the park by our condo.  The lights on the Empire State Building tower were turned off in tribute to the victims of the Paris shootings.

View of the United Nations building from our Uber cab crossing the Queens bridge just north of our condo.

Skating had begun at the Rockefeller Center.

Scaffolding put up for decorating the tree.

View from the Top of the Rock of Central Park

Somewhere in the cluster of tall building on the other side of the East River is our condo building.

Empire State Building photo bomb.

Statue of Liberty in the distance

This couple (from London) got engaged just as we walked by.

On a carriage ride in Central Park

Tried to get a photo of Karyl feeding Bonnie, our horse, a carrot...wasn't quick enough!

Bonnie and our Irish driver Eddie.

New York Photos #1

Our great visit to New York had a lot of highlights, these photos capture just a few.

The top highlight was the Chelsea Market Food Tour.  Our guide, Curt, was outstanding, and made the tour very special.

We stopped at about a dozen shops and at each one Curt presented their products and in most cases provided a sample.  Here we see herbs of every type.

Macy got a sample and the joke.

At a fresh vegetable stand

Tacos to go!

On the way to the World Trade Center Memorial.

The new World Center

The site of the north tower

Inside the memorial, the wall on the left keeps the Hudson River out.

Off to a play on Broadway in Times Square.  "An American in Paris" at the Palace Theater.
Nice place to visit...briefly

Last Boat Ride of the Season

Always hate to take the boat in for the year but we had a beautiful mid-70's October Sunday for our last ride.  Baily is now adjusting to the new boat-less routine, he liked it when 5 PM rolled around just like me.

Going past the eagle nest island and out into the main part of the lake.

Headed home from Flambeau Lake through the Hwy 47 bridge.

Catch Up - Weekend with Laney and Beckett

Heather and Frank went to a wedding in Chicago while Macy and I babysat with the kids.  Fall fun on a beautiful end of September weekend.

The training wheels are off and Beckett is ready to rumble!

Saturday we were off to the pumpkin farm.

Can't go wrong when you have a Happy Jack!

Making corn angels

Beckett's favorite activity.

Ended the visit at the pumpkin patch.

Dinner on the patio...burgers and sweet corn!
