Victory

When the house was contructed and landscaped we took down a lot of trees.  The ensuing pile of logs has been my windmill the last 2 1/2 years, and I never thought I would see that ground again  But this week marked the end of the pile and it was quite satisfying (of course there about 8 more trees that need to come down but that's a different story).  My hope is that next year this is where we will store the camping trailer.

P.S.  Thought I had a pic of the original pile but still searching...will add to this post if I find it.

Lynne's Wedding - Wedding Day

June 28 was very special, Lynne's wedding and Lucas' second birthday.  Both were celebrated in great style.

First order of business was celebrating Lucas' birthday.

As we celebrated Lucas' birthday wedding preperations were under way

The wind make things difficult early on but settled down before the ceramony.

Beckett, somewhat reluctantly, got "pinned".

Lynne's Wedding - Rehearsal

Lynne's rehearsal was Friday afternoon.  Like all good rehearsals it started a little chaotic, weather didn't help, but by the end everything had fallen into place.

The rain was brief but forced everyone inside.

Lynne's Wedding - Arrival and First Day

I took over 200 pics at Lynne's wedding.  Will try and post a few over the next several days.  We arrived on Thursday and that evening a barbecue was held for the early arrivals.  Estes Park is a great place for a destination wedding and almost everyone Lynne and Sean invited came.

Estes Park Lodge, where the wedding was held and most of the attendees stayed.

View over Lake Estes from the hotel.

Lily, Lynne and Sean's dog, settled right in.

Lucas settled right in too.  He really like the hotel and the time spent with his cousins.

The wedding was held in this gazebo on Saturday.  Jane's nervous energy hadn't peaked yet at this point.

Friday morning we joined Lucas, Renee, and a Scott on a hike to Copeland Falls in Wild Basin, an area of Rocky Mountain National Park we have visited many times in the past.  Sticks in streams was a very popular activity.

Pedal Pushers

The day after Lynne's wedding everyone just relaxed.  Weather was perfect.  Our hotel was on Lake Estes and next door was a marina that rented boats, kayaks, and two person pedal carts.  There's a paved path around the entire lake so we rented two and had some fun.
